The Net Emotional Footprint measures high-level user sentiment towards particular product offerings. What differentiates Paylocity from other similar products?
The value for the features offered. Very good client support, training, and knowledge base.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The enhanced payroll process. It has cut our payroll time to less than half of what it was before. Worforce management and document capabilities are also good.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Reporting. There is not much customization with the dynamic reporting, and it is too complex for someone who doesn't have hours to spend testing it. How about an enhancement that allows you to drag and drop data fields to create custom reports?
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Test the demo to get a feel for the product. Speak to someone who has been using it for a while to get a clear understanding of the capabilities and value.

All the features we need and good customer support

What differentiates Paylocity from other similar products?
No manual entries, meaning, I can run weekly payroll remotely. Posting openings, recruiting and onboarding new employees is seamless. Great support team that is available and responsive; I can reach out to MY TEAM rather than a rep that happens to pick up my call. Knowledge base easy to follow and great training tool. Reporting capabilities.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I can process and submit payroll weekly from ANYWHERE. There is no longer any dependency of manual tracking on paper (i.e. PTO requests, physical timecards, etc.).
What do you dislike most about this product?
Not sure there are aspects of the software we dislike. Occasionally, the turnaround time of responses between Paylocity internal departments (i.e. customer support and tax team) seem to take longer than expected.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Make a list of all your must-haves in a system as well as a wish list. In our research timeline, Paylocity checked almost all the boxes. Two and a half years later, we are very satisfied with the decision that was made.
