Stick a Card in It- It’s Done

What differentiates Trello from other similar products?
Trello started out as our backup project board — just something simple to track tasks. But honestly? It’s become the backbone of our creative workflow. Our design team works with multiple departments, so staying organized while also juggling reviews, feedback, and asset approvals is key. Trello's card-based layout is visual enough to make sense at a glance, but flexible enough to support how we think as creatives.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
What really sold me on Trello was how well it integrates with our creative rhythm. We use the Calendar Power-Up to keep tabs on deadlines across all campaigns, and the Butler automation tool has quietly become our studio assistant. When someone moves a card to "Review", Butler automatically pings the project manager and assigns the reviewer. No follow-up emails, no missed approvals — it just flows.
What do you dislike most about this product?
If a project has a lot of assets or granular feedback, the comment threads inside cards can get tangled fast. It's not the best place to do detailed versioning or long-form collaboration.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Would I recommend it to other designers? 100%. Just don’t expect it to replace your DAM or your full-on PM suite. Trello is where you keep things moving, not where you house your whole design universe. It’s like your sticky note wall finally learned to talk back — and that’s not a bad thing.

What differentiates Trello from other similar products?
trello organizes training sessions better than google forms, with boards that tie tasks to agendas. it’s my checklist for smooth workshops.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
i can create lists for “prep,” “day-of,” and “follow-up,” assigning tasks like “print handouts.” the file attachments store slide decks on cards. the comment threads let facilitators plan without emails.
What do you dislike most about this product?
no built-in timer for session pacing, so i track time externally.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
for workshop planning, trello’s boards ensure nothing’s missed.
