What differentiates Tanium Platform from other similar products?

What makes Tanium different is its real-time visibility and control. Unlike other tools that take minutes or hours to update, Tanium can show and act on changes across all endpoints almost instantly. It also combines many functions — security, patching, compliance, and asset management — into one platform, so you don’t need multiple separate tools.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite thing about Tanium is the real-time visibility and speed. I can see what’s happening across all endpoints instantly and take action right away, which saves a lot of time and improves security.

What do you dislike most about this product?

What I dislike most about Tanium is that the interface can feel complex at first, and it takes some training to use it effectively. Also, with so many features, it can feel a little overwhelming for new users.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you’re considering Tanium, I’d recommend investing in proper training for your team — it really helps unlock the full value of the platform. Start by focusing on a few core use cases like patching or security visibility, and then expand to other features over time. Also, make sure to plan your deployment carefully, since Tanium is very powerful but works best when set up with clear goals.

Product splits ... getting better but had too many products split up that should be part of same feature / SKU

Great product, take the training expand it to all of IT and beyond. It doesn't belong silo away for one team e.g service desk or security
