What differentiates Revenue Cloud Advanced from other similar products?

All of my questions have received concise and timely responses. It enabled field and design improvements that fit within our plans and spending limits. As a result, I was able to modify the tool to meet our specific price structure.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The best software available for managing the entire invoicing process is Salesforce CPQ. Using Salesforce CPQ has significantly reduced the time spent managing invoicing, and it is incredibly simple to use. It is utilized to automate Order Management, Recurring Payments, Discounts, and Billing and Invoicing. I advise everyone who works for a company with convoluted billing procedures to try it.

What do you dislike most about this product?

If you don't have a "simple" pricing module, implementing a pricing system can be rather difficult. Even though our price structure is significantly more convoluted than it needs to be, it has nevertheless been a major problem.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It creates a more uniform quoting procedure and slightly speeds up approvals. The feature of CPQ that I value the most is how easy it makes it possible for me to maintain many quotes associated with a single opportunity. There are also some excellent options to add multiple products, which simplifies the quoting process.

the quoting piece of cpq has been great for us

we have transitioned some backend engineers and the hand off can be a bit difficult

If sfdc is your source of truth then this is a great product

What differentiates Revenue Cloud Advanced from other similar products?

It is incredibly flexible. There pretty much isn't anything you can't accomplish if you want to go down the path of leverage APEX and QCP-- but that comes with its own negatives to manage and maintain. The Quote Line Editor is simple to us as a seller if built right, and everything from Orders, Contracts, Renewals and Amendments are amazing.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The flexibility is my favorite part, pretty much any request we can build because we have the development skill set to do so. If you have no devs on your team, you may be limited. The Orders, Contracts, Renewals and Amendments are also great and easy to use. Plus its a Salesforce object so reporting is straight forward.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I would love a better Document Generation functionality without having to integrate something like Docusign Gen to build more complex documents. CPQ is pretty old so they haven't added any development around document generation, would love more development here.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Try before you buy! and use a 3rd party implementation partner!
