What differentiates Google Analytics from other similar products?
Usually, I would have written a distinction but Google Analytics is a category creator in itself, and nothing comes close to it. Furthermore, its integration with other Google Tools such as Webmaster Tools makes it tremendously powerful getting data with even the most comprehensive internal custom solutions cannot compete with.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The new predictive analytics and real time analytics add tremendous value to our ongoing efforts no longer we need to wait for 24 hours to get results of a new campaign we can track time on a real time basis. The predictive analytics while is not something too elegant but every once in a while they will throw an insight that you might miss with all the data being processed by Analytics and works like a nifty assistant.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Google's usage of data sampling and limiting insights when sample size is small are my primary issues with otherwise an excellent solution.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Nothing comes close to Google Analytics as long as you have the requisite trained manpower to harness it, further free advanced certifications are being offered by Google itself that you can take a look at if you want to do it yourself. There are lot of custom scripts that are out there and it won't hurt to check some third party resources such as Neil Patel, Labnol and Moz from time to time to keep yourself updated.
