What differentiates Google Analytics from other similar products?
Google Analytics is different because it’s free, popular, and easy to use, which helps students and teachers practice real data analysis using a tool that many companies already use.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
What I like most about Google Analytics is that it makes complicated website data easy to understand and use for better decisions.
What do you dislike most about this product?
For large datasets, the reports sometimes use only a sample of the data instead of the full set, which can make them less accurate.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I’d suggest learning the basics of Google Analytics first, then slowly using the advanced tools, and making sure it’s set up correctly for privacy rules.

What differentiates Google Analytics from other similar products?
The vast amount of data on this tool enables it to trace where the visitor is coming from, how long they spend going through the pages, and the clicks made prior to exiting. Custom goals and conversion funnels provide insights into user behavior and what the site is doing to accomplish its mission (e.g., sales, sign-ups). Powerful segmentation opportunities will allow a closer study of different groups of the audience.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I like its simple interface for FDD (fine-grained data). These basic dashboards provide a high-level understanding of the key metrics, such as traffic, sources, and popular content, allowing online decisions to be made much faster and smarter without being placed in a strong data science background. The community support and resources are also generous with the widespread adoption.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Tracks set up in an advanced way may need the change of code, which external users may not understand, and the same process may be made smaller in all the Analytics interfaces. Reading reports and working with their definitions may also seem difficult at first.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Google Analytics started the analogy of tracking visitors to the site and progressively grew into user demographics and behavior analysis. Reading between the lines, one can find important insights, like a blog without targeting the country, but it made the post unexpectedly popular. The fact that the discovery gave us a product means that there is a new market, and the discovery affected our approach towards our content. This was one of the learning curves that showed how beneficial and persistent data could be when making an invisible situation evident in terms of opportunity and challenge stemming.
