What differentiates ABACUS from other similar products?

The system's adaptability and flexibility to the organisations maturity and its ability to support data analysis are what differentiate Abacus from the crowd.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Complete freedom to make changes to the metamodel and the scripting that can support the EA function's maturity

What do you dislike most about this product?

Data integration isn't strong, nor are the presentation outputs. The business find the outputs to academic and more suited to the IT function than its use in strategic engagements.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Take a pragmatic approach to implementation of the system, it's power is in it's features, but not all of them are usable without the data to drive them. Be mindful of the complexity of data inputs required to unlock the system's value. The system is not designed to be updated by one person/team, it's a collaborative effort from every role across a "well defined", and adhered to architecture development process (this could be said of all these tools thought).
