Roundtable: Build an OT Security Model for Manufacturing
Manufacturing organizations increasingly operate across a portfolio of plants with widely different operational technology (OT) environments, technologies, and operational constraints. While enterprise leaders often seek consistency in OT security posture, attempts to enforce uniform controls frequently fail at the plant level, leading to disruption, workarounds, or silent noncompliance. As a result, organizations end up with fragmented security outcomes and limited visibility into true enterprise risk.
This roundtable focuses on how manufacturing leaders can design a scalable OT security strategy that balances enterprise standardization with local operational realities. Rather than treating variability as an execution failure, the discussion explores how to classify manufacturing environments and deliberately decide where OT security controls must be global, where adaptation is acceptable, and where enforcement is infeasible.
