What differentiates Syndigo from other similar products?

What I love about Syndigo is the connection between product information and the customer facing experience. Saas and B2b can be plagued by inconsistent product data not just from a content management view. It can affect how products are presented, how fast teams can refresh information and, ultimately, how customers interact with the business

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

When multiple teams are contributing to the same information, a structured approach to managing product content is valuable. A more transparent process for product data can reduce the unnecessary back and forth between business, product and other operational teams. I like, too, the emphasis on keeping product information consistent across different channels. If you change one thing, you shouldn’t get a very different experience elsewhere, and consistency is key for folks working with product roadmaps and user feedback.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There is a fair amount to understand before getting full value from a platform with this breadth. Teams with different processes may need some initial alignment around ownership, data standards, and workflows. I d love to see more ways for the occasional business user to get exactly what they need without having to go thru the whole platform.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I don’t see Syndigo as simply a product information management system. The real value is in providing better structure around the data that ultimately gets to customers and business teams. That connection is critical for product orgs, because better info can mean better decisions, smoother experiences, and more consistent execution. The platform is the best fit for organizations in which product data has become too complex to effectively manage thru disconnected processes.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Great customer service

What do you dislike most about this product?

They are a growing company. However the constant change in platform and process without a good “unavailing” or explanation is frustrating. I do appreciate that they are trying tri constantly approve though. It’s just changed one day and you roll with it until they find their sweet spot.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Ask that they tag all files fed to your DAM or your 3rd party vendors be tagged with metadata that can distinguish theirs from yours in future state. Understand what you want up front. Inquire about the cost of the second contract so you are aware of long term costs once integrated and fully implemented.
