What differentiates Oracle PeopleSoft from other similar products?

I am not 100% sure since I have used PeopleSoft majority of my tenure with my company. The application is extremely useful and allows customized reporting for your specific needs.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I love the ability to develop our own queries based on the needs of the business unit functionality. It has been extremely helpful with identifying information regarding employees both faculty and staff.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I would prefer if the program interface with the finance side as well. This would be helpful for instances of managing position funding and etc. It could possible reduce the risk of over encumbering funds for positions and eliminating the risk of budget issues in the future.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I believe that it is a wonderful program with just a few hiccups. Be very clear with the business requirements needed for PeopleSoft but overall it has been extremely helpful with time management of employees, ePerformance, and compensation matters.

What differentiates Oracle PeopleSoft from other similar products?

That the work flow behind the scenes in this product is very slow and clunky. It makes for ineffencies to occur in the work day compared to other software

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

That there are many variety of things that you can do with this software

What do you dislike most about this product?

It is very inefficient

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Try the product out first before you purchase. Some companies only use some of the features of peoplesoft and not all of them which makes the product not as good.
