Single source for many projects

Likeliness to Recommend

What differentiates OnePlan from other similar products?

It’s great to have all project, financial, and resource data in one place. It has given the ability to capture intake requests and ideas via the innovation portal, which is quite useful. I feel the platform holds great scalability from a few projects to large portfolios.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I can view budgets and expenditures in real time. Dependencies visualization has helped us prevent hidden blockers across portfolios. We’ve reduced tool recline by bringing many work tools under OnePlan’s visibility. I trust the status reporting because of its accuracy and timeliness.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It provides a great reporting feature, but customizing those reports demands much time. The configuration of OnePlan to match our organizational portfolio hierarchy is time-consuming as well.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If your teams use mixed methodologies, this platform will let them work how they want significantly. Also, you get better visibility into what everyone is working on, as OnePlan will centralize that view.

Finally, a Tool That Supports Our Agility Vision

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates OnePlan from other similar products?

For us, it was that OnePlan seamlessly integrates with Azure DevOps - which was key for our Agility vision. OnePlan is also highly configurable to support various delivery models – traditional, Agile, hybrid, or Lean Portfolio Management (LPM).

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The Modeler - provides advanced portfolio modeling and what-if scenario planning. Also, the direct support for OKRs, Epics, PI Planning, prioritization, and Agile team structures - gave us a single view of our book of work. Lastly, the fact that you can turn modules on/off (e.g., Timesheets, Resource Planning) to suit your team maturity.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Sometimes extensive configuration is required to tailor the tool to specific frameworks (prioritization framework, PI planning board) or governance needs. Sometimes there is a lag or slowness when loading complex reports.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If your organization is already using Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Teams, or Power BI, then OnePlan is a natural fit for you. Also, it is important to use a live or high-priority portfolio to test adoption (a pilot). Avoid doing only a sandbox trial — a real-world pilot gives better insights into usability, data structure needs, governance consideration, and organizational change impact.
