Gives laymen the pleasure of making code work!

What differentiates Microsoft Power Automate from other similar products?
This is the end user tool which I see simplifying the lives of many where laborious tasks are required. You can schedule flows to run at unsavoury times and push this information to your choice, You can integrate MANY apps to connect with flow especially in the Microsoft domain. There are ready made template which you can simply use with one click OR customise your own. I connected MS Form with SharePoint and then pushed this data straight into Power BI Dashboard!
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The fact that I can link with MS Form, MS Power BI, MS Team and get each of these applications talking to each other and sharing information. Literally reducing my daily tasks by a significant amount. I loved the fact that I was able to trigger a customised email using Flow to be sent from our departments mailbox so as i was getting data in, I would send a customised message to the individual with a response and then create a Task automatically and assigning to the person using MS Teams
What do you dislike most about this product?
There isn't much to dislike, the only one negative thing will be that if you dont share the Flow and something goes wrong then the entire chain is in pause until you fix it
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
do NOT use for Business Critical applications! Flows to go wrong and at times I have found myself problem solving where it has gone wrong when it once worked and being an end user tool, the IT department will not support with end user problems unless there is some fundamental flaws with the functionality. Its like having MS Word but there is no IT support for this. But use this for day to day tasks where you get information from one place and need to use it for another purpose.
Pros
- Saves Time
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product
- Enables Productivity

Invaluable companion to Sharepoint automation
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Microsoft Power Automate from other similar products?
The sheer amount of different data sources it can connect to is impressive. It also works very well to automate various items that tie into Sharepoint. As usual, Microsoft integration is very impressive.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
We mainly utilize this to add automation for email notifications and various triggers for Lists in Sharepoint. This saves a lot of time for users in having to field emails with questions about the status for various requests and items that are tied to List submissions. The amount this automation has improved processes has blown away our users.
What do you dislike most about this product?
There are some quirks that make working with some interface elements difficult, but they are improving these issues as they continue to develop the product. The experimental features shows where they are heading, and this makes for a much easier experience.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If anyone is utilizing Lists in Sharepoint, there are so many options Power Automate can offer in automating email notifications or taking care of other tasks with triggers. Power Automate is easier to use than Power Apps and the learning curve is not as steep. Take some time to see what it can offer. In most cases, any ideas for automated processes users come up with related to Sharepoint data can be accomplished with Power Automate. It's an incredibly powerful tool.
