What differentiates Looker from other similar products?

Its unique LookML modeling layer, which lets me define metrics, calculations, and business logic once and reuse them consistently across all reports. Unlike tools that duplicate logic in each dashboard, I get a single source of truth for analytics. I also like that Looker queries the database directly in real time, so I’m always working with the most up-to-date data without heavy extracts or cubes.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It enables to drill down, pivot, and filter data on the fly without needing to ask a developer for a new report. I really like how the governed LookML models ensure consistency while still giving me the freedom to explore and visualize data in ways that fit my specific needs.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Some advanced customizations take time and developer effort, which can slow down adoption compared to more drag-and-drop BI tools.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would recommend them for initial planning for training on LookML, since mastering the modeling layer is key to unlocking its full potential. Start by defining consistent business metrics in LookML so teams share a single source of truth.

What differentiates Looker from other similar products?

The best feature of Google Looker is that multiple user can work on the reports and dashboards in real time. Also, its has a very simple user interface and its drag-and-drop feature saves time.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I like its user friendly interface which is very easy to understand and it has a top notch customization for visuals. Moreover, its integration with other google tools makes it more familiar.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Its data modelling is quite complex if one is going for advanced features which has steep learning curve.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would highly recommend this tool.
