Simple and straight forward scheduling
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Buffer from other similar products?
Buffer is solely a scheduling tool for social media posting, it doesn't have extra bells and whistles that it doesn't require. For scheduling, it is very straight forward and the dashboard is highly intuitive.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite aspect of Buffer is the fact that the tool doesn't try to confuse you with features that aren't necessary. You log in, do what you need to do, and log out. It helps keep you productive.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I wish Buffer included reporting instead of having it as an additional paid feature. I would love to be able to see the analytics behind what I'm scheduling and to see what's working, what's not, and account growth and engagement.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you don't need a tool where you can respond to comments or direct messages, don't need thorough reporting, and are looking for solely scheduling posts, Buffer is the ideal tool for you.
Pros
- Performance Enhancing
- Enables Productivity
- Efficient Service
- Effective Service
Cons

Practical, reliable, but limited in its free plan
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Buffer from other similar products?
Buffer is reliable and accurate. Never had any problem of posts that wasn't published or distributed ahead of its time, like in other platforms.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Buffer is easy to implement and even more easy to maintain. Unlike some of its competitors, it looks like it only uses the official APIs to manage each channel. For this reason, you shouldn't expect your accounts being blocked or posts being hidden.
What do you dislike most about this product?
This correctness comes with a price as some functionalities available in other platforms, like Reels scheduling, aren't available. I also had trouble connecting my Instagram business account, that for some reason was read as a personal profile.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Try the free plan as well as other tools free plans. There's a lot of competing tools and many of them are equally good, but some can be better for particular people or businesses. Buffer was the better choice for me.
Pros
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing
- Enables Productivity
- Trustworthy
Cons
- Commodity Features

Great for small budgets
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Buffer from other similar products?
Buffer is great if you don't have a large budget. The lower tiers on the plan come with a good amount of features and capabilities for the price. It will be just the basics, but if you are used to being scrappy it's just what you need. And because it doesn't have all the same bells and whistles as some more expensive solutions, the intuitiveness and ease of use can't be matched. Higher budgets though, I would say look at some others, like Sprout Social.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Ease of use for sure. Anyone could just log in and figure it out. Can't say the same for some others.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The lack of built-in link tracking. Some of the other solutions automatically add the UTM parameters for each platform, and make it easy to customize them if needed. It's a huge time saver. But maybe Buffer has that now / on a higher plan tier, I'm not sure.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
All the solutions give you a free trial, I would try multiple before committing to one. And also consider what your top priorities are, because each social media management solution shines in different areas and lacks in others.
Pros
- Reliable
- Enables Productivity
- Performance Enhancing
- Efficient Service
Cons
- Inhibits Innovation
- Slower Product Innovation
- Leverages Incumbent Status
