The RISE with SAP program (RISE) is not a new product offering from SAP. Instead, RISE combines existing products, platforms, and service offerings and bundles them together under a commercial wrapper that strives to present a unified offering that results in a single contract with SAP. SAP is positioning RISE as a business-transformation-as-a-service solution. This is an essential strategy by SAP, as the traditional business use cases surrounding lift-and-shift, best-of-breed SaaS adoption and even tactical ERP refreshes of existing environments into the cloud often do not meet the financial and functionality requirements to justify the investment to move to S/4HANA.
