About Reiaz Somji

Executive Counselor

Reiaz Somji is an Executive Counselor with three decades of experience helping CIOs, CXOs, and senior technology leaders navigate the intersection of business strategy and transformative technology. Grounded in systems thinking, he brings clarity to complexity, helping organizations move pragmatically forward while honoring their culture and competitive context.

In today's AI-defined era, his work centers on a defining challenge: ensuring ambition does not outpace execution discipline. He counsels executives on building the governance, organizational, and architectural foundations needed to scale AI and automation responsibly — from ad hoc experimentation to defensible, enterprise-grade adoption. His focus spans Gen AI and agentic AI, IT strategy and governance, risk-aware platform decisions, and the talent dimensions of technology transformation.

At Info-Tech Research Group, Reiaz works directly with CIOs and IT leaders as a trusted sounding board, facilitating executive alignment and translating complex roadmaps into CFO- and board-level narratives. His counsel is especially sought during leadership transitions and rapid scaling or when the gap between technology investment and business outcome needs to close.

His career includes consulting at a Big-Four firm, a Managing Director role at Info-Tech for IT Strategy, and executive leadership of a globally registered not-for-profit. He holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame and an undergraduate degree from Western University. He is based in Toronto.
