What differentiates Zoho Projects from other similar products?
Zoho projects is more than just Gantt charts, but fully developed Project Management with integrated Bug Tracking. It is easily customized and includes options for automation and setting up workflows and business rules. Of course, it does have Gantt charts and other reporting options. By default, the reporting ability is pretty basic, but paired with Zoho Analytics, just about anything can be turned into a report or dashboard.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Zoho Projects facilitates great Team collaboration on projects. Tasks and issues can have a variety of owners providing true company wide collaboration on Projects. For our product development within our company, we can lay out the projects from development, to QA, to documentation, to manufacturing, to marketing, to production and packaging. Team members have ownership of tasks and know when they are blocking others or blocked by others. It provides for communication amongst the teams and leads to successful releases.
What do you dislike most about this product?
While automation and business rules are available, sometimes they are challenging to set up and get working as expected. Custom functions can also be used, but the ability to truly debug these functions is limited.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Make sure to include the appropriate stakeholders as team members in the projects. Utilize the Milestones capability built in to Projects. Use the Bug Tracker / Issues module to keep track of issues encountered. Consider adding a basic Zoho Analytics license to create reports. Analytics is a powerful BI dashboard and even the basic subscription can create complex reports that can be emailed or printed.

Zoho Projects presents a shared dashboard that allows managers to read from the same page and make decisions It also has a facility that allows managers to prepare a to do list to avoid collision of events and tasks It synchronizes with the calendar to assist working with deadline It also has a facility that assist in planning and budgeting optimal use of the available resources

Zoho Projects has a provision for scheduling and rescheduling of tasks in the order of priority
