What differentiates X1 Search from other similar products?

What is so good about X1 Search in my opinion is the speed it finds information across emails, tickets, documents and shared folder. Working as an IT Support Executive, I frequently need to pull up old troubleshooting logs and user correspondence, and X1 Search enables me to access them much faster than typical file searches.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

This has enabled me to reply to users quicker and spend less time searching various platforms. I also appreciate the preview tool as I can examine the contents of a file before I open it completely. The filtering options can be helpful if you want to filter the results by date, keyword, or file type. I use X1 Search practically daily to research support cases and find the previous resolution. One of the main benefits is the search speed, it can identify files, emails and attachments within seconds even while working with massive amounts of data.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The UI feels a little older compared to modern software solutions. Some settings are not very intuitive and it took me a while to get them right. I’ve also noticed that it takes a bit longer to index when huge batches of files are added, thus some documents may not surface in searches instantly.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It helps in saving a lot of time during investigation of issues and finding historical information. The design may use some updating and the learning curve might be a bit steep for new users, but the search performance is really solid overall. My experience with the platform has been great and is still a significant tool in assisting day to day IT operations.

What differentiates X1 Search from other similar products?

There isn't really another comparison when it comes to Windows Search. X1 gets what you're looking for faster and from a greater number of data sources. Increased worker productivity is how X1 pays for itself.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

After a few uses, the interface becomes easy to use; nonetheless, new users should review X1's online help materials and quick start videos. I believe X1 has done an excellent job of making the interface as simple as possible. This is more complex than a "one liner" search in Windows' File Explorer. A user must be able to "guide" X1 in the results display in order to obtain the most pertinent search results as soon as possible. In other words, it would be beneficial if the user informed X1 that an Outlook email, Microsoft Office file, etc., had the information they were looking for.

What do you dislike most about this product?

As someone who uses the program both at home and in the workplace, I had the good fortune to purchase the software for my own usage before X1 altered their pricing structure. Although X1 currently only offers a subscription model, I purchased a perpetual license. In order to price it appropriately, I would like to see X1 develop a more effective marketing strategy for the general public.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I have a disorganised mind. It's likely that you have employees that are digital packrats, and their HDDs and inboxes are messy messes. These are sometimes your greatest workers, and you want to give them more authority and do all in your power to increase their output. For me, X1 has accomplished this. I am frustrated when I can't find what I'm looking for, which affects both my mood and productivity. Here, too, X1 is helpful. Like I said, I love X1 so much that I spent my own money on it for personal use. It is costly to use at home.
