What differentiates X1 Search from other similar products?

What I like about X1 Search is the speed at which it can search emails, project documents, code related files and archived information all in one spot. As a Full Stack Developer I often need to go back to old requirements, technical documents and talks. X1 Search makes this process a lot faster than going through folders manually.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I work on frontend and backend projects thus there are always lots of files, specs and email threads that I need to refer to. X1 Search has been incredibly helpful in finding documentation, deployment notes, API reference and project related communications in a matter of seconds. The search results are generally correct and the file preview tool is a time saver as I can immediately see the content before opening it. I really like the snappy feel of the program once it is done indexing

What do you dislike most about this product?

One thing that bugged me at first was the setup and indexing procedure which took longer than I expected. The UI works but is not particularly current compared to the newer software tools that developers use nowadays

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would recommend X1 Search to development teams with vast amounts of documentation, e-mails and project artifacts. This is particularly helpful when you are working on long running projects and information is strewn everywhere. The user experience could be better and sometimes it takes time to index, but the speed and quality of the search engine is worth these disadvantages. Overall, I have had a good experience with X1 Search and it has enabled me to spend more time coding and less time looking for information.

The software does have a learning curve especially if you're not too techy. Some of the advanced search criteria are strong but can be difficult to understand at first. Occasionally, I have observed modest delays when new content is not instantly indexed.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Recommend X1 Search for firms who have big volumes of consumer communications and business papers. For Customer Success Managers, having quick access to historical information can make a huge difference during customer interactions. There are some usability changes that might be made, but the search performance and time savings are great. Overall, my experiance has been very positive, and the tool has helped me become more efficient when supporting and engaging with customers.
