What differentiates Storyblok from other similar products?
Compared to other products I've used I've found that Storyblok stands out for its ease of use and robust content management capabilities compared to alternatives like WordPress and Contentful, which led us to select it as our primary content creation platform.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Storyblok especially excels in web development projects that require efficient content management, team collaboration, and rapid delivery of dynamic, personalized content. Our overall experience with Storyblok has been positive, as it has significantly improved our efficiency in creating and managing content. Although it has come at an additional cost, the benefits in terms of team collaboration, content personalization, and rapid delivery have been worth the investment.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It may be less appropriate for organizations with limited budgets or looking for a more basic solution for content management.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
In our organization, we use Storyblok as our primary platform to efficiently manage and create content. What differentiates Storyblok from other similar products?
Storyblok actually has some unique features which I can begin to list. But, for starters, I would say The balance. You rarely get visual editing + full developer control in the same tool. Other headless CMS platforms are either too dev-heavy or too rigid. However, Storyblok gives both teams what they need without compromise. And, trust me, that’s rare.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The height is the Visual Editor. As someone who’s worked on projects where marketers constantly needed dev help just to tweak a headline or image, Storyblok solved that. I could hand over content control to the team without worrying they’d break the layout.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The setup isn’t as "plug-and-play" as it looks. When we first started, the Visual Editor didn’t work out of the box... we had to structure components properly and link everything before the previews worked. It’s worth it in the long run, but it’s not instant gratification. You’ll need dev effort up front.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
There are lots of things to consider while considering the product. If your team includes both devs and content editors; then, go for it. Plan your content structure well from the start. This is because it affects everything later. Use their tutorials and starter kits. Saved us a ton of time (so, you'll need it). Don’t expect it to behave like WordPress... it’s different (but in a good way).
