SOLIDWORKS stands out with its industry-leading parametric modeling, seamless simulation integration (FEA/CFD), and unmatched technical drawing tools making it the gold standard for mechanical engineers,
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite aspect of SOLIDWORKS is its unmatched parametric modeling and assembly management it handles complex mechanical designs with great precision.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The outdated UI and reliance on slow, glitchy add-ons for critical features like CAM or generative design coupled also 3DEXPERIENCE cloud tiers are overpriced in my opinion.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Only invest in SOLIDWORKS if you need industry-standard mechanical design precision but first test alternatives like Fusion 360 (for affordability/cloud)
