Fantastic but falls short of composable MACH

What differentiates SAP Commerce Cloud from other similar products?
Plethora of capabilities and features offered to be easily customisable. Vast usage of Spring framework. Minimal learning curve for the java developers with exposure to spring framework.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Catalog Management and Order Management. Have customised these aspects for very complex use cases across multiple project implementations
What do you dislike most about this product?
Content management is not effective when compared to Adobe Experience Management or any latest headless CMS offerings like contentful etc. And Back office customisations very complex and rule engine customisations were hard to debug. Also the upgradation / version migration efforts. For example with some of the MACH commerce vendors like commercetools we get to work with version less always up-to-date APIs. which doesn't need any migration efforts
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Where initial time to market is critical with plethora of features to start without wanting to spend much time rather than future proof architectural setup with Composable MACH that needs reasonable amount of time but offers better availability and reliability and guaranties faster development velocity or features release in the longer run.
Pros
- Caring
- Respectful
- Acts with Integrity
- Trustworthy
Cons
- Slower Product Innovation
- Less Inspiring
- Vendor's Interest First

What differentiates SAP Commerce Cloud from other similar products?
The SAP Commerce Cloud provides the technology for building e-marketplaces, service portals, and e-commerce, as well as a scalable environment managed by SAP through a fully integrated hosting platform for deploying solutions developed by SAP Commerce.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
It's a clean and scalable architecture. It allows you to integrate both pre-built and custom modules seamlessly. Integration modules facilitate integration with other systems, and there are many ready-made templates and concepts for developing plug-ins. Create an EC site for the company. Storage solution, implementation and integration. Deployment of multi-store solutions and white-label solutions. Building complex heterogeneous integrated solutions. Deployment of scalable enterprise solutions for the integration of web applications, marketplaces, and other third-party systems.
What do you dislike most about this product?
By using SmartEdit and eliminating the old CMS Cockpit, you are on the right track to managing content, but maintaining pages and components is still more challenging than with pure CMS solutions.
