What differentiates Microsoft Viva Engage from other similar products?
Yammer and Workplace by Facebook are two market leading Social Media platform for companies. Due to complete O365 package Yammer makes it to most of companies. Due its rich feature set it is highly useable in market.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Yammer is a like Facebook for office where you can n create communities and can discuss topics. Make announcements, make department groups for department level communication and in bigger picture on company level as well. Create Polls to make it more collaborative and interesting for all users. Praise your teammates and create fun activates as well using Yammer.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Sometimes integrations with 3rd party tools makes it difficult.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Effective communication is essential and pandemic made it sure. Yammer is perfect tool to engage your employees for information sharing at department level and at company level as well. So this is go to platform for any kind of enterprise. Healthy Communication among employee creates healthy environment to work.

What differentiates Microsoft Viva Engage from other similar products?
I don't know. Tell me, and we will both know. I found it to be redundant and not practical. There are plenty of other apps which are a better fit. Microsoft's Teams is better to use, in my opinion.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
There aren't any. I dread using the product. I avoid it as much as I can.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It seems to be a waste of time and energy to me. It is very confusing and "noisy."
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Look at Microsoft's Teams product first. Yammer seems limited to me and not well integrated into the rest of the Office 365 suite.

What differentiates Microsoft Viva Engage from other similar products?
I think the best thing yammer has going for it is that everyone in the University has it and can see a homepage. Teams has become the dominant digital communication platform, but is missing an 'everyone' team or user story. Yammer actually does that pretty well.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Having the ability to write to all users across the organization, and have an organization centric micro blogging platform.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It's experience on mobile is bad. When I used it more regularly, I couldn't even see the original message when I attempted to reply. Lack of adoption is also a major roadblock.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Use teams. It does most of what yammer was intended to do, but does it better. If you aren't currently tied to MS, use slack : it has a clearer user story, and has better integrations.
