What differentiates Microsoft Power BI from other similar products?
Power BI stands out because of its integration with Microsoft 365 and Azure. It’s cost-effective compared to Tableau and other BI tools, and it works smoothly with Excel, which makes it a natural fit for teams already in the Microsoft ecosystem.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite thing is the ability to pull data from so many sources Excel, SQL, cloud apps and combine it all in one dashboard. It saves me from jumping between tools.
What do you dislike most about this product?
What I dislike most is the learning curve. Simple dashboards are easy, but advanced modeling and DAX formulas can feel overwhelming at first.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Start with small datasets and practice building simple dashboards before tackling complex models. And definitely make use of Microsoft’s learning resources they’re a lifesaver.
