What differentiates Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps from other similar products?
Seamless integration and Customisation with other Microsoft security platforms like AZURE , Purview DLP and Defender for Endpoint without needing any additional API, it provides an all-round visibility for threat detection, DLP and Shadow IT apps.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
It's user and File investigation capabilities which offers various filters which helps in narrowing down the investigation logs also the seamless integration with Defender for Endpoint which helps it blocking the unsanctioned cloud apps in organisation.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The support for from Microsoft is bit disappointing also for few third party product integration could be bit costly.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
When considering this product make sure to leverage the tool’s comprehensive features, such as app discovery and policy configuration, to gain visibility and control over cloud usage and for implement the solution gradually, starting with a pilot phase to address any challenges early.

What differentiates Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps from other similar products?
UI is very intuitive and polcies can be altered easily. Also native integration with MS SIEM is delight.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
integration with SIEM and MDI is native.
What do you dislike most about this product?
A lot of false positive, some would need to have great knowlwdge to create custom policies to redce false positive.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If oyu have E5 license and has good user database who uses cloud apps very frequently, also if you planning to have SIEM and MDI then it is best of have this product as well for wholostic view of you cloud infra.

Mcas comes with the whole 355 defender suite that cover the whole cyber kill chain this makes it unique from other products

Its rich logs and integration with other security products.also it's feature to mark our different websites that user visits on scale of 1-10
What do you dislike most about this product?
There is no such thing to dislike
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
It is best product if you have a Microsoft based setup.like if you are using azure ad office 365 email etc
