What differentiates Melio Accounts Payable from other similar products?
I’ve been using Melio for a few months now, and it’s honestly been a game changer for my small business. The biggest thing for me is how simple it is to use. I can pay my vendors through bank transfers or even with my credit card, even if they only accept checks. It’s all online, so I don’t have to deal with writing checks or mailing payments anymore. Plus, it syncs perfectly with QuickBooks, which saves me so much time on accounting. There’s no monthly fee, and I only pay if I choose to use my credit card for payments, which is a nice option to have when cash flow is tight. Definitely recommend it if you're looking for an easy way to manage
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite aspect of Melio Payments is the flexibility to pay vendors with a credit card, even if they only accept checks. This feature has been a lifesaver when I’ve needed to manage cash flow better while still ensuring my bills are paid on time. It gives me more control and options, especially during tight financial situations. Plus, it's incredibly simple to use!
What do you dislike most about this product?
What I dislike most about Melio Payments is that the credit card payment option comes with a fee. While it’s super convenient when cash flow is tight, the fee can add up if you rely on it frequently. It would be great if there were lower fees or a way to waive them under certain conditions. Otherwise, the platform is great for everyday use!
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you're considering Melio Payments, I'd recommend it if you're looking for a simple, user-friendly solution to manage your accounts payable. It’s especially great for small businesses that need flexibility with payment options, like using a credit card to pay vendors who only accept checks. My advice would be to take advantage of the free bank transfers and only use credit card payments when absolutely necessary, as there’s a fee for that feature. Also, if you use QuickBooks, the integration will save you a lot of time with syncing payments and keeping your books in order!
