What differentiates Maptitude GIS from other similar products?
The width of features for the price is, I believe, unbeatable. I've found it really useful for both logistics and non-logistics projects. As well as being able to identify hot-spots in your own data and interrogate the built-in demographics, you can calculate weighted "centres of gravity" and allocate customers between fulfilment centres or depots - all important features if you're looking at logistics networks.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Facility location tool, drive time zones and travel times/distance tables
What do you dislike most about this product?
I sometimes find myself thinking I've lost a file, but that's just because the drop-down has pre-selected a certain type - it's my problem reallty!
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Watch some of the videos available, and take up the opportunity for a demo and a free trial

What differentiates Maptitude GIS from other similar products?
This is a product with a lot of robust features, but it is amazingly easy to learn. It took me nearly a year to learn ArcGIS, after watching YouTubes and training videos, and reading their manuals. I learned Maptitude in two weeks. ArcGIS was so much harder to produce good-quality maps. Maptitude allows us to generate superior maps for clients so much faster we have been able to more than triple our GIS map production. Maptitude has been the difference between us making a profit and not.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The redistricting program is world-class. We use it on large-scale school district projects. It has reduced our time on that phase by 80 percent.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I would like to see a few more on-site, in-person training offered. I have been to all their training seminars, and would go to others if they offered something new. It might also be nice to do a mini-users conference, so people who use the software could get together to talk about uses, new ideas, how to get maximum value out of it. Maybe a day or two conference. I think it would be fun.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
This product will surprise you because it will exceed your expectations. It is incredible. Definitely the best decision that I have made in my business during the last 17 years.

Built-in measures for redistricting plan evaluation. Tools are there, ready to go. Works easily with related applications and other GIS products.
What do you dislike most about this product?
New ensemble maps application needs some improvement.

Complements other GIS products very well. Worth having as part of your suite of tools.
