What differentiates M-Files Document Management from other similar products?

M-Files particularly focuses on confidentiality, retention policy and classification features rather than being utilized in user-friendly manners.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Once you upload or received a file, you are automatically directed to how long it should be saved or kept within a certain timeframe across the organization. There is no option to skip this by or eliminate retention policy at all. Making sure of such things are quite helpful especially in mandatory regular audits by outsiders.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It takes so many time to share a document with certain individuals, such that creating groups are time-consuming or updating a document by multiple users causing confusion and consequentially losing time in the end.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I recommend those who are thinking about ownership of M-Files if they are an organization with less than 5k people on premises. As the organization gets bigger it would be hard to manage data management with M-Files.

What differentiates M-Files Document Management from other similar products?

It is highly flexible and easy to use. Any document we need can be accessed easily on the fly. It has tons of features that simplify document management. It also stood out from other products in how it removed duplicates of files and enabled us to work with only the original copy no matter who stored it.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

What i like M-Files is that we do not have to spend a lot of time looking for documents as it makes it quick and easy to locate them with a powerful searching feature. With M-Files less printing and scanning is involved as we only need to route it via a workflow process. We can access M-files on the web, mobile phone, and even offline which is an added advantage to us as most of our staff members are working remotely.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It requires an IT expert to handle the admin work of configuring and training other users.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

M-files is reliable for the storage of any kind of documents and i love how easy it is to manage thousands of files. It is easy to use and gives us an amazing user experience all the time.
