A cornerstone for program management

What differentiates Jira from other similar products?

Its ease of use, by far. I've been doing PM for a few years and I was more of an excel guy. You know the drill, you start doing a GANTT chart in Excel and then you believe you can rule the world. Anyway, I moved through different solutions and when I first started using Jira it was a bit daunting. It seemed too complex and I instinctively went back to a "I can do this in Excel for sure" mindset, but I was proven wrong. There is no way you can get as much visibility on your projects and clarity on who's doing what as you can with Jira. If you're doing Agile, it is the go-to platform. It's basically built for running sprints!

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

How easy it is to assign tasks to team members. It's visual, it's simple, everyone gets it. There's no hiding your backlog anymore!

What do you dislike most about this product?

At first it can be a bit tough if you're not used to this kind of tools. Also, pricing could be cheaper.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Definitely check it up. If you're into software development or use any agile methodology, this is a tool that will make your life easier. Program and project managers out there: test it out, I promise it won't disappoint.
