What differentiates GoTo Meeting from other similar products?
GoToMeeting offers most of their capabilities at a much lower cost than competitions. We were able to sign up quickly with their services before we settled on a long term solution. It was a great stop-gap for us.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
We were able to get up and running relatively quickly with short contract negotiations, minimal set up, and little impact to our IT infrastructure while we implemented GoToMeeting before using a more enterprise scale solution. Most of the features are free (or included), so that made this tool very appealing.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Despite having a breadth of features included, each feature and capability was just not developed to the extent of their competitors. They all worked, don't get me wrong, just not as well as other solutions in the market. So I felt like we were getting a me-too solution that got us 70% there to the goal, but at a very reasonable cost.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Ask around your customer set, partners, or any external companies who you interact with to see that is the preferred conferencing platform. It appears that many small start-ups use GotoMeeting due to their cost and ease of implementation. If that is your primary audience, then this tool is right for you.
Pros
- Reliable
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product
- Performance Enhancing
Cons
- Commodity Features
- Less Effective Service
- Less Efficient Service
