Not everyone uses Jabber or Teams. Meet provides an additional alternative to communicate through.

Ease of use - I mean, it's Google...

Nothing; the application works well for the entire company.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Google Meet is an excellent addition for communications. It's simpler and to my knowledge less expensive than alternate options.
