What differentiates Google Drive from other similar products?
Google Drive is built as a web-first file storage platform. This makes it very accessible as I get to use it on my computer device, without needing to first install it on the device. The web-based design of Google Drive has come in most handy to me, on occasions, where I have needed to sign-into Google Drive from work or public computer devices. In such situations, I simply login through the browser, which is more straight-forward than first installing and then launching software.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The ability to simultaneously edit and create documents with other users , in my opinion, is the most impressive aspect of Google Drive and what I love the most about it. While collaborating on Google Drive, I am presented with vital tools like version control that helps me track the contributions of all file collaborators in real time, commenting capability which allows thread-styled conversations around the document being developed, and live cursors with which I can follow the work being done by other collaborators.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Although file synchronization with Google Drive has been generally reliable, there have been situations or occasions where synchronization across multiple devices linked to my Google Drive account was slow and even non-responsive for long periods.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Google Drive works well and best, when integrated with other Google based software programs.
