One of the best products out there for workspaces
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Google Drive from other similar products?
The universal aspect: everyone has used Google Drive at one point. Everyone has a personal Google account. It makes life a lot easier when sharing or receiving files from clients who are not very tech-savvy.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The ability to sync folders from computers to drive. I feel like Google does the best job of it and makes it so easy for team members to work on the same folder cohesively.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I wish I could set expiration dates for shared files or folders, and have more control over access permissions (e.g., view-only access without the ability to download). There was also a way where file access could be completely transferred to a user (I've dealt with several clients who had difficulty understanding how to create copies of Google Drive folders on their drives).
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
For smaller team sizes, I would recommend starting with Google Drive. Drive and google probably have the shortest learning curve as everyone uses them daily, and the price is fairly user-friendly.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing
- Enables Productivity

Easy to use product!

What differentiates Google Drive from other similar products?
Scalability. The debate is usually between Google Workspace and Microsoft. By using Microsoft, you're a bit stuck using the entire Microsoft stack. Google fits well into any system architecture.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The API. The Google REST API is extremely flexible and generous on the free tier. You can basically do anything with the Google REST API.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The amount of processing time for large format files. When uploading a video, the video needs to process after the file is fully uploaded. Often times, processing can take a really long time so it's not possible to have a video uploaded and watchable upon upload.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
There are pitfalls with every product. While Google Drive has a few weaknesses, it's overall a fantastic, easy to use, flexible product that can suit the majority, if not all, of most people's needs.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing
