A decent, but dated, file sharing service
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Dropbox Business from other similar products?
The biggest thing Dropbox Business used to offer as a unique product was a native app (widget of sorts) that would allow for real-time synchronization of files between the remote server and local devices (and this worked across devices). While it was an industry innovation before, other file sharing services now provide the same functionality. The biggest current differentiator is the ability to integrate with A LOT of other widely used tools. Google Cloud, Microsoft Office (as a destination to save files), etc, have all proved to be useful integrations.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite aspect is the real-time sync across multiple devices.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The user interface leaves a lot to be desired. File indexing is also lacking, which results in it being somewhat difficult to find files using search functionality. The group and user policies are also a little confusing - it's nothing that speaking to customer support can't help clear up, though. Authorization and access restrictions are seldom easy to implement from the beginning, and the same can be said for Dropbox Business.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Be mindful that you have someone who will own and manage access control (ideally a centralized IT department) otherwise things can get messy. There are other options out there (such as Google Drive for Enterprise) which are better options, in my opinion.
Pros
- Trustworthy
- Fair
- Altruistic
- Enables Productivity
Cons
- Commodity Features
- Charges for Enhancements
- Leverages Incumbent Status

"Dropbox is my favorite cloud storage."

What differentiates Dropbox Business from other similar products?
It is a very safe program, but its customer service is very bad, there are programs that have much better customer service.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Files of all sorts may be stored in a Dropbox folder that can be shared with other Dropbox users. My data are safe with Dropbox, which keeps them in a container for 30 days in case they are accidentally destroyed. Incredibly fast download and upload speeds are a hallmark of the Dropbox service. Files may be uploaded and downloaded with ease. Also included is an excellent mobile app platform, which I use to distribute, upload and scan files.
What do you dislike most about this product?
After an issue, the customer care is not very helpful: the information they supply does not aid in solving the problem. When the storage capacity has been exhausted, files must be removed to create room for new ones.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Yes, it's a fantastic cloud storage service for both corporate and personal usage.
Pros
- Reliable
- Unique Features
- Efficient Service

Easy and secure way to save files and collaborate.

What differentiates Dropbox Business from other similar products?
Dropbox Business is where I keep and distribute business files. We never need to be concerned about system compatibility. For an online storage service, security is important. We are able to upload files reasonably rapidly. I believe it is sometimes as quick as file transfers to hard disks, everyone in our business now finds it much simpler to exchange multimedia content, such as films and photographs, with our media and graphic design teams.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I like the opportunity to share huge image and video files with customers that I would otherwise be unable to do owing to email file size constraints. It's also useful for providing colleagues with access to these files without having to send them an email. The user interface is beautiful and generally simple to use. I have no trouble orienting myself. The file management system is designed similarly to the majority of file systems on my PC and phone. I may use my Dropbox Business account to share and collaborate on files.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Dropbox Business has been fantastic, although the fee is greater than some quality competitors. There may be some free alternatives that can compete with the capabilities provided by Dropbox Business.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you need to share data with a large group of individuals, I prefer Dropbox because of the convenience of uploading things to the cloud for others to view. Just remember to keep your password safe and pay attention to the permissions you provide to files and folders. It might be perplexing, but it's actually rather straightforward if you look at the option's language.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
