What differentiates Couchbase Server from other similar products?

It’s pretty fast, indexing and all can be done with just one line and it makes the queries execute a hundred times faster. And also the smartest thing I notice is the documentation, many times I come across a brand new use case and am unable to implement then I search for that in the documentation and notice all the answers to all the use cases I had.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It’s easy and has no advanced configuration. It stores data in numerous buckets, almost like tables in RDBMS. It provides bucket-to-bucket sync or cluster level to diff cluster level sync victimization XDCR, which helps in syncing or moving information. Because it saves data in JSON format, it’s very easy to structure data in couchbase.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I dislike, its response time, we faced numerous problems in reducing the query time, and even though we’ve got created all the required indexes, still, the response time was high. Another thing where we faced a problem was in eventing functionality, as the correct log isn’t displayed on UI, it’s tough to understand that document the eventing worked or not.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Couchbase provides the capabilities and storage our business was looking for with some of our giant projects, that are being used today. The team itself is a nice partner who is often willing to assist and ensure our environments are stable and secured however make sure we are content.
