What differentiates Cisco Secure Firewall from other similar products?
My overall expertise with Cisco secure firewall has been quite amazing. It’s an advanced level firewall that detects most levels of malware’ and supplies protection against them. It’s quite reliable and secure. The options which I prefer most concerning the merchandise are 1. The firewall is often used in either of the 3 ways i.e. you’ll use it locally, remotely, or by using cloud 2. URL filtering and sandbox features provided are quite economical and useful 3. CLI commands can be used terribly simply 4. Disaster recovery is sort of sturdy because of automated backups.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Cisco ASA is a cloud-based advanced firewall system to shield from outside networks and the ability to modify the NAT in numerous ways. This is often an extremely reliable tool and safe to attach from anywhere. Permits users to safe remote connect through VPN and protect them from any threats from the surface networks. Cisco's technical team is extremely responsive and provided plenty of coaching material and documentation for smooth learning and simple use. It’s advanced scanning options and can troubleshoot anytime on a real-time basis.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The user interface lags someday which might be irritating. Not a lot of simple to learn, user coaching is needed. License is sort of expensive. The Management console went through several changes throughout the time once Cisco bought Snort. Similar systems from alternative vendors, in terms of age and price, didn’t have these issues. Weak UTM options and has to be used with a firepower engine to operate as a UTM.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
My recommendation for different customers would be if their organization is looking for a tool that may give company-wide security and threat detection in a very economical and secure approach they should definitely attempt Cisco secure firewall.
