Other products can't offer much when it comes to integrating IOT resources and Infrastructure deployments.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Accessing infrastructure and able to deploy easily with all the necessary configurations is my favorite aspect.
What do you dislike most about this product?
UI could be improved a lot

Great features and use for any AWS instance

What differentiates AWS CloudFormation from other similar products?
Terraform is the closest competitor, which is cloud agnostic - so works with Oracle Cloud, Google Clouds etc. AWS CloudFormation is a service that allows you to model and then provision applications securely and repeatedly in AWS cloud. As AWS knows AWS best this service works with Cloud Watch to version control AWS infrastructure and do iterative testing/
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
You can do rollbacks using AWS CloudFormation that the likes of Terraform cannot do.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Features available in the US regions of CloudFormation are not available in all AWS regions, so if you have a global presence you have limits.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Configuration is easy and using the full AWS stack makes sense. CloudFormation is a great service that automates much and saves time.

Best way to keep track & model the cloud resources

What differentiates AWS CloudFormation from other similar products?
We have used CloudFormation to model our entire stack of applications that are using cloud resources. These applications are like Java microservices deployed on ECS, EC2, AWS Lambda, AWS SNS, etc. Cloudformation helps in creating & managing this list of resources systematically by creating a template in JSON or Yaml file. We can use this file to replicate & create the resources for all our development environments using dynamic parameters & creating cloudformation stacks.

Cloudformation helps in creating & managing this list of resources systematically by creating a template in JSON or Yaml file.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Cloudformation does not support some AWS resources
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
With AWS CloudFormation, we are creating a single centralized stack of resources that are used to maintain & manage the application for different environments. The benefit of Cloudformation is that it has reduced our development time by half due to the automation of deployment & creation of cloud resources.
