What differentiates AWS Certificate Manager from other similar products?

Difference between ACM integrates natively with AWS services like ELB, CloudFront, and API Gateway, automatically handles renewals, and eliminates the need for manual certificate provisioning or third-party tools.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The most favorite part in this product is the automation of certificate issuance and renewal, which saves significant operational time and reduces the risk of service outages due to expired certificates.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The most dislike which i felt was the private CA pricing is relatively high, and certificate management across multiple AWS accounts and regions can still be cumbersome without additional automation.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Recommendation i can give to others is leverage ACM for all public-facing workloads to eliminate certificate costs, and plan carefully if you need ACM Private CA to ensure cost efficiency. Establish tagging and governance policies upfront for better visibility and management.

Unlike other tools that need manual setup, ACM handles everything behind the scenes — making it super easy and hassle-free, especially for non-experts

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The best thing about AWS Certificate Manager is how automatic and hands-off it is. Once set up, it takes care of issuing, renewing, and managing SSL certificates without any manual work — saving time and avoiding mistakes. It just works in the background, which makes life a lot easier

What do you dislike most about this product?

Honestly, I don’t have any major dislikes. For what it’s designed to do — manage SSL certificates within AWS — it works smoothly and does the job well. It’s reliable, automatic, and easy to use. No complaints so far!

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you’re already using AWS to host your website or application, definitely use AWS Certificate Manager. It’s free, super easy to set up, and takes care of everything automatically — no need to worry about renewals or complicated setups. Just make sure your resources (like Load Balancers or CloudFront) support ACM, and you’re good to go!
