What is Amazon EventBridge?

Amazon EventBridge is a serverless event bus that makes it easy to connect applications together using data from your own applications, integrated Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications, and AWS services. EventBridge delivers a stream of real-time data from event sources, such as Zendesk, Datadog, or Pagerduty, and routes that data to targets like AWS Lambda.

What differentiates Amazon EventBridge from other similar products?

Unlike other event-driven tools, EventBridge is deeply integrated with AWS services, which makes it super handy if you’re already using AWS. It handles routing events from diferent sources with ease and requires less setup compared to traditional message brokers

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I really like how simple it is to connect various services and build workflows without managing any servers. The schema registry is also a nice touch – helps keep track of event formats.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The pricing can get a little confusing, especially when you're dealing with high event volumes. Also, debugging issues is not that straightforwad, and logs don’t always give you the full picture

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you’re already on AWS and looking to build event-driven applications, EventBridge is definetly worth trying. Just make sure to understand the limits and pricing before going all in
