Easy to get started but you get locked with AWS

What differentiates Amazon EC2 from other similar products?
EC2 in all is a great product what stands out is the integrations that are provided with EC2. Integration with VPC and other security groups is very well organized and can be easy to set up than with other providers. All key management is done out of the box. AWS has good API support for deploying EC2 instances from significant Infrastructure as Code tools. Terraform and Pulumi works with EC2 out of the box and the developer experience is excellent. The visualization and the new UI also provide most of the page's information. Many different types of support for OS. Autoscaling features. Cloudwatch integration.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
1. Best integration with the Infrastructure as Code tools. 2. Networking aspect is very intuitive. 3. Varied support for OS. All new OS are readily available. 4. Can run KVM's in the machines as Virtualisation is available. 5. Autoscaling feature.
What do you dislike most about this product?
1. Some services like Elastic beanstalk use EC2 and it is sometimes difficult to differentiate between which my code deploys instance and which instance is deployed by Elastic beanstalk. 2. The pricing varies too much according to traffic etc. Other Cloud providers have flat rates.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
1. Enable interconnects like Infiniband for HPC applications. 2. Introduce flat rates for instances. 3. Allow visualization of all the nodes on one page from all regions.

What differentiates Amazon EC2 from other similar products?
Amazon EC2 offers the most feature rich service with almost all capabilities and functionality required for any kind of business or personal use case. It also offers the most community rich forums to discuss and evaluate new features with top-in line documentations.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
AWS has the most humble support with state of the art technicians who are very much aware of the functionalities in and out of AWS. The cost vs service ratio is lowest for AWS among all the cloud providers.
What do you dislike most about this product?
There are many observation where certain regions have insufficient capacity of certain instance types because of which there are issues observed during AWS auto-scaling group.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would recommend going with AWS cloud if you are not a professional cloud service user since this is easy-to-use cloud with almost all of the services and features along with great documentation and community rich discussions.
