What differentiates Altair RapidMiner from other similar products?

Visual creation of processes makes it easy to teach data science basics to students who are not coders.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Easy to create and explain processes.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It's clear that academic licensing is under threat. This will force me to use an alternative like Knime. It's not at all obvious how the product will survive with Altair; another reason to move away from it. It's also not at all obvious what licenses cost; students always ask but it's impossible to answer.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Great for starting out but use it as a route to open-source alternatives where licensing is easier to understand.

User friendly interface, integration with other technologies and customizability

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It spans the whole ML lifecycle and can be used to build end to end solutions without third party dependencies.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Lacking full scale integration with cloud services ETL workflow capabilities could be improved

Requires dedicated team for administration and trained developers for the platform
