What differentiates Acumatica Cloud ERP from other similar products?
Acumatica Cloud ERP distinguishes itself through its pay-by-computing-resource pricing model, and not per-user licenses. With its model, businesses can extend operations with no additional cost for new users, and it works best for companies with expansion in mind. With its simplicity in adding an infinite number of users, it promotes increased use in the entire organization, and collaboration and transparency in terms of information become even simpler.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite Acumatica Cloud ERP feature is its deep module stack that covers a range of business processes. With its integration between financial management, customer relation management, and project accounting, and vertical modules including manufacturing and construction, Acumatica forms one, unfragmented platform for dealing with a range of business processes. With its integration model, Acumatica eliminates information silos and provides real-time access to information regarding all aspects of a business.
What do you dislike most about this product?
One aspect I have a problem within Acumatica is its security configuration complexity level. As beneficial and powerful as granular access controls for users, configuring and managing user roles and access can become cumbersome and disorienting. How "Not Set" defaults can cause access restrictions not desired can make planning and ongoing maintenance a necessity to implement security effectively.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
For businesses considering Acumatica Cloud ERP, my recommendation is to make a thoughtful examination of your specific industry needs and how Acumatica can address them. As flexible and configurable as Acumatica is, certain industries will have out-of-the-box capabilities that will work for them and not for others. Consult with Acumatica partners and existing users in your specific field and gain an understanding of how the system can be shaped to your specific use cases.
